These talks include a review of practices to consider before conducting an FBA, how to get staff to buy-in to your intervention ideas, how to stop being the behavioral firefighter, an expert panel discussion on the use of seclusion and restraint, and how to measure social validity in school-based
settings.
One last thing I'll say is that these talks are designed to be accessable to all school-based professionals. It's all anchored to empirical research, but we've done our best to remove all the behavioral jargon so teachers, admins, school pyschologists, and other non-BCBA staff can benefit from the conference as well.
OK, that's my pitch on this Monday morning. Fair warning: I may send one last blast out later this
week, but apart from that, this newsletter will return to its normal programming ASAP.
Lastly, if you're signed up already, I can't wait to see you there on Thursday! If you're not, and you're a practitioner who works in schools, please take this into consideration (and forward this email to friends and colleagues who might be into this content!).
All the best,
Matt
